Recruitment - Assistant Conservation Officer

HKHerp is recruiting an Assistant Conservation Officer (with a very short-term contract from Jul to Sep 2020) to assist with conservation and education projects. Please forward to those who may be interested. Please refer to the information below.
Assist in implementing (ECF: Citizen Science Programme - Conserving Herpetofauna Diversity through Raising Awareness of Invasive Species)

Organize other environmental education and outreach activities
Train and coordinate volunteer team and interns
Help with animal husbandry work and animal adoption scheme
Provide administrative support to adoption centre
Handle public and media enquiries
Report to relevant parties regularly
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in environment-related discipline, such as Ecology, Biological Sciences, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, Zoology, Geography
At least 1 year of relevant working experience with organizing environmental education activities and/or conducting ecological surveys
Commitment to nature conservation
Knowledge and species identification skills on amphibians and reptiles would be an added advantage; or willingness to learn
Physically fit to work outdoors and to work at night
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsible, self-motivated and detail-minded
Good interpersonal, organization and analytical skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Proficient social media skills (e.g. Facebook) and computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Working hours:
5-day work week including Saturday
Working locations:
Office and adoption centre at Kwun Tong; Outdoor work in other locations is required.
