The cruel truth of releasing terrapins in religious belief and pet abandonment

On 23 July 2013, HKHERP received a report about the poor conditions of the terrapins found inside a Taoism temple in New Territories – Wun Chuen Sin Kwoon, the case involved confining ferocious snapping turtle with other species in a small area.  We tried to reach the temple but unfortunately could not get the reply.
